Alice’s Kids Receives $250,000 Donation

Mount Vernon, VA; June 29, 2026 – Alice's Kids is thrilled to announce they have received a $250,000 donation. The donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, first learned about the organization through actor and comedian Patton Oswalt during his recent appearance on Celebrity Jeopardy!

"We're amazed by this generosity," said Ron Fitzsimmons, Founder and Executive Director of Alice's Kids. "You never know who's watching or what will resonate. Patton introduced millions of people to our work, and one of those viewers decided to make an incredible difference for children they'll never meet.”

Alice's Kids works through teachers, counselors, coaches, and social workers to provide micro-grants to children whose families are struggling. The organization anonymously pays for the “little things” like field trips, school clothes, sports fees, eyeglasses, musical instruments, and prom tickets ensuring children can participate alongside their peers without being singled out.

"This gift means we'll be able to say 'yes' to thousands more requests from schools," Fitzsimmons said.
