Little Theatre of Alexandria Opens New Season With Tony-Nominated Catch Me If You Can

The Little Theatre of Alexandria (LTA) opens its 2026-27 season with the musical Catch Me If You Can on July 18.

This Tony-nominated musical follows con man Frank Abagnale Jr., who — before his 19th birthday — successfully posed as a pilot, doctor, and lawyer, all while staying one step ahead of the FBI agent determined to catch him.

The LTA production is directed by Jarod Glou, an Alexandria-based theater artist who has been active in the DMV community theater scene since 2023. Lead roles played by Cam Powell as Frank Abagnale, Jr., and Thomas Stratton as Carl Hanratty, both making their LTA debut. The show features a cast from Alexandria and across the DC Metro area and a retro score inspired by 1960s swing and Vegas glamour.

Catch Me If You Can is based on the DreamWorks motion picture. Book by Terrence McNally, music and lyrics by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. Directed by Jarod Glou, with musical direction by Aimee Faulkner and Owen Posnett and choreographed by Kristina Friedgen. Produced by Kadira Coley, Rachael Hubbard and Eleanore Tapscott.
