Alexandria seniors would like to see it (alexandriabrief.com) — Alexandria's Adult Day Services Center is seeking volunteers as young as 14 to perform, help with activities, and support weekday programs for older adults at the Lee Center. The city-run program offers meals, transportation, nursing oversight, dementia-friendly activities, and a monthly caregiver support group, giving families daytime respite and seniors a lively, social environment.

This Fairfax County High School Was Again Ranked Among Top 10 In The Nation (patch.com) — Alexandria's Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology has again been named Virginia's top high school and ranked sixth in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. The selective STEM-focused Fairfax County magnet school draws students from across Northern Virginia and continues its long streak of top national rankings.
