Arlington Coronavirus Update: 2 Weeks With No Additional Deaths
Virginia Department of Health confirmed Friday 23 additional cases of the new coronavirus in the Arlington Health District.
ARLINGTON, VA — The Virginia Department of Health reported no new deaths Friday in the Arlington Health District due to COVID-19, the disease associated with the new coronavirus. No new deaths have been reported in the health district in two weeks. The total number of COVID-19-related deaths in the Arlington Health District stands at 136.
There are 23 new cases of COVID-19 in the Arlington Health District as of Friday morning, bringing the total number of cases in the health district to 2,897. In the health district, there have been a total of 434 hospitalized patients to date.
As of Friday, there are 89,888 total cases statewide, according to data reported by the Virginia Department of Health. In Virginia, there have been 2,174 coronavirus-related deaths to date. There have been a total of 7,866 hospitalized COVID-19 patients.

There have been 17 coronavirus outbreaks in the Arlington Health District as of Friday, with 545 cases related to an outbreak. There have been 12 outbreaks at long-term care facilities, two outbreaks at a congregate setting and three outbreaks in health care settings in Arlington. There have been 180 reported coronavirus cases in Arlington health care workers.

On Friday, Virginia health officials reported 36,035 COVID-19 tests have been taken in Arlington, with a 4.2 percent positivity rate. Statewide there have been 1,211,622 COVID-19 tests taken, with a 7.4 percent positivity rate.
Globally, more than 17.3 million people have been infected by COVID-19, and over 673,000 people have died, Johns Hopkins University reported Friday morning. In the United States, more than 4.4 million people have been infected and over 152,000 people have died from COVID-19.

- 0-9: 64 cases
- 10-19: 143 cases
- 20-29: 576 cases
- 30-39: 525 cases
- 40-49: 475 cases
- 50-59: 413 cases
- 60-69: 303 cases
- 70-79: 180 cases
- 80+: 205 cases
