Arlington Coronavirus Update: 5 Days With No New Reported Deaths
Virginia Health Department confirmed Thursday there were no new deaths reported in the Arlington Health District due to the coronavirus.
ARLINGTON, VA — The Virginia Department of Health reported no new deaths in the Arlington Health District due to COVID-19, the disease associated with the new coronavirus. This is the fifth day in a row in which no new deaths were reported. The total number of COVID-19-related deaths in the Arlington Health District stands at 134.
There are 14new cases of COVID-19 in the Arlington Health District as of Thursday morning. This brings the total number of cases in the health district to 2,691. In the health district, there are currently 426 hospitalized patients.
As of Thursday, there are 74,431 total cases statewide, according to data reported by the Virginia Department of Health. In Virginia, there have been 2,007 coronavirus-related deaths to date. There are currently 7,020 hospitalized COVID-19 patients.

There have been 17 coronavirus outbreaks in the Arlington Health District as of Thursday, with 545 cases related to an outbreak. There have been 12 outbreaks at long term care facilities, two outbreaks at a congregate setting and three outbreaks in health care settings in Arlington. There have been 176 reported coronavirus cases in Arlington health care workers.

On Thursday, Virginia health officials reported 28,703 COVID-19 tests have been taken in Arlington, with a 5.7 percent positivity rate. Statewide there have been 946,617 COVID-19 tests taken, with a 7.1 percent positivity rate.
Globally, more than 13.5 million people have been infected by COVID-19, and over 584,000 people have died, Johns Hopkins University reported Thursday morning. In the United States, more than 3.4 million people have been infected and over 137,000 people have diedfrom COVID-19.

- 0-9: 54 cases
- 10-19: 120 cases
- 20-29: 505 cases
- 30-39: 482 cases
- 40-49: 450 cases
- 50-59: 397 cases
- 60-69: 291 cases
- 70-79: 177 cases
- 80+: 204 cases
