Arlington County Police Experience Problem with Radio Communication System
"It was learned last night in the emergency communication center that there was interference on some of the radio frequencies."

The police radio system used by Arlington County Police to communicate with each other experienced problems Monday night and Tuesday, according to a spokesman.
“It was learned last night [Monday night] in the emergency communication center that there was interference on some of the radio frequencies,” said John D. Crawford, spokesman for the county’s Office of Emergency Management, in an email, in response to a question from Patch.
“This morning it became more pronounced,” he said. “The radio manager put our backup system in place as we called our radio engineers, wireless communications, to investigate.”

By Tuesday afternoon “the radio frequencies were back online and all frequencies were working as required,“ Crawford said, adding that a ”bi-direction amplifier interfered with our frequency.”
