Arlington Indecent Exposure Suspect Faces Drug Charges In Fairfax Co.
A man arrested for indecent exposure in Barcroft on Sunday morning was already wanted on Fairfax County warrants for drugs, police say.

ARLINGTON, VA — A 28-year-old man arrested for indecent exposure in Barcroft on Sunday morning had outstanding warrants from Fairfax County at the time of his arrest for drug possession, according to Arlington police.
Officers responded around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday to the 4800 block of Columbia Pike for a welfare check. Once they arrived on the scene, officers noticed a man exposing himself, according to the incident report. They arrested the suspect, identified as Luis Alejandro Diaz Rodriguez of an undetermined address.
"During the course of the investigation, the suspect provided false personal identification information to officers and credit cards not belonging to the suspect were recovered," according to police. "It was also determined that the suspect was wanted out of Fairfax County."

Police charged Diaz Rodriguez with indecent exposure, giving false identity to law enforcement, and felony credit card theft. They also served him with the outstanding warrants.
Diaz Rodriguez was scheduled to be arraigned in Arlington General District Court on Monday morning and a preliminary hearing was set for Oct. 16.

Both the indecent exposure and providing false identity to law enforcement are Class 1 misdemeanors, which are each punishable by up to 12 months in jail, a fine of up to $2,500, or both, under the Code of Virginia.
Diaz Rodrigeuz failed to make a scheduled hearing in Fairfax General District Court on Aug. 5, so the court issued a warrant for a bailee failing to meet pretrial conditions, according to court records.

On June 28, Diaz Rodrigeuz was arrested in Fairfax County and charged with possession of burglary tools, entering a property to cause damage and destruction of property with intent, according to court records. He has a Sept. 17 hearing in Fairfax General District Court to faces those charges.
In addition, Diaz Rodriguez failed to appear for a scheduled hearing on May 28 in connection to a March 20 arrest in Fairfax County on charges of trespassing, giving false identity to law enforcement, and possession of Schedule I/II drugs, according to court records. He also has a hearing scheduled for Sept. 17 in Fairfax General District Court on these charges.
The most serious charge is the possession of Schedule I/II drugs, which is a Class 5 felony. If he's found guilty on that charge, Diaz Rodriguez faces a possible prison sentence of one to 10 years, or confinement in jail for up to 12 months with a fine of up to $2,500, either or both, under the Virginia Code.
