Police arrested 64-year-old Michael Monroe of Gainesville after they say he caused havoc Sunday morning in Crystal City.

A drunk, naked man was taken into custody after police say he attacked three people who thought he was their Uber driver in Crystal City early Sunday morning, according to the Arlington County Police Department.
A U.S. Park Police officer responded to a report of a "suspect vehicle driving erratically and nearly striking pedestrians" at around 2:20 a.m. June 12 in the 2300 block of S. Eads Street, according to the police report.
Before the officer was able to arrive, the man pulled into a parking lot where three people walked up to his vehicle thinking he was their Uber driver.

"A verbal altercation ensued and the subject, who was naked at the time of the incident, retrieved a hatchet from the backseat of the vehicle and started swinging the object," the report stated.
Fortunately, no one was injured and the three individuals were able to wrestle the hatchet away from the man, who tried to flee but was pulled over by the U.S. Park Police officer. Arlington County officers arrived shortly after and tried to initiate a field sobriety test on the man, but he refused.
