Singer-Songwriter Amy Wilcox to Host Single Release Party Thursday at Iota Club
Yorktown grad is debuting single "Summer in Slow Motion," the leadoff track for forthcoming EP. Watch the video here.

Singer-songwriter Amy Wilcox is set to host her “Summer In Slow Motion” single release party Thursday night at Iota Club & Café in Arlington.
The show will kick-off at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 and are available for purchase at the door. Iota Club & Cafe is located at 2832 Wilson Blvd.
The feel-good, summertime track is now available on iTunes, Amazon and other major digital retailers and is Wilcox’s follow-up release to her 2013 self-titled album. “Summer In Slow Motion” is the leadoff track for Wilcox’s forthcoming EP, which is set to release later this year. Born in Oklahoma and raised in Arlington, Wilcox first moved to Music City to play Division 1 soccer at Vanderbilt University. While majoring in history and economics with a minor in communications, she topped the SEC Academic Honor Roll and was a leader in shots-on-goal percentage for the Vanderbilt Commodores.
After graduating from Vanderbilt, Wilcox took to the road to pursue music full time and began playing at bars and honky-tonks all over the country. She is an established songwriter and has opened for fellow Country artist, Kellie Pickler, Brothers Osbourne and Luke Bryan.

Wilcox was also a featured cast member on A&E’s “Crazy Hearts: Nashville.” The show documented the lives of up-and-coming Nashville artists and Wilcox is featured on two tracks from the Original Soundtrack.
