Washington Capitals Players Take Over Nando's Peri-Peri in Ballston on Saturday
Nate Schmidt, Andre Burakovsky and others will be manning the grills for charity.

ARLINGTON, VA — If you love chicken and the Washington Capitals, there's an event that will allow you to enjoy both this weekend. Nando's Peri-Peri has opened up a new location in Ballston, and several Washington Capitals players will be on hand to man the grills in order to raise money for a local charity.
Left wing Andre Burakovsky, center Lars Eller, right wing Stanislav Galiev, defenseman Nate Schmidt and right wing Tom Wilson will be on hand from noon until 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Nando's location at 4401 Wilson Boulevard, according to a statement. They'll be just steps from the Ballston Common Mall, where the Capitals practice during the season.
All sales will benefit the Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation, the official charity of the corporation that owns the Capitals.

Nando's was founded in 1987 in Johannesburg, South Africa, and has since then expanded to 23 countries on five continents. Its very first U.S. location was in the Chinatown neighborhood in D.C. back in 2008, just steps from the Verizon Center where the Caps play their games.
