Motorcycle Rider Dies Friday After Collision in Ashburn
Charges are pending against driver of car in accident, say Virginia State Police.

The Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal accident Friday evening in Ashburn in which a motorcycle collided with a car making a left turn.
The motorcycle rider, Zachary J. Foster, 31, of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., was transported to Inova Loudoun Hospital, where he died later that same night, the state police said. He was wearing a helmet.

The car’s driver, Navneet Kaur, 21, of Ashburn, was not injured in the crash. She was wearing a seat belt, the state police said; charges are pending in the case.

The collision occurred at 6:09 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Ashburn Farm Parkway and Crossroads Drive, the state police said. Kaur was driving a 2012 Honda Accord eastbound on Ashburn Farm Parkway and was making a left turn onto Crossroads Drive when the car pulled into the path of Foster’s oncoming 2015 Kawasaki KLR-650, moving west on the parkway.
The vehicles collided in the westbound lanes of Ashburn Farm Parkway, and Foster was thrown from his motorcycle, the state police said.
