📰 News we're reading
• Late summer rain: a mixed blessing (whsv.com) — Recent late-summer rains around Bridgewater are giving local hay producers a welcome boost, greening up pastures and supporting another cutting. But nearby vineyards like Bluestone are racing to harvest before downpours dilute grapes or cause rot, carefully timing long picking days around each storm system to protect wine quality while farmers celebrate the extra moisture.
• Bridgewater women's soccer crushes Hollins for ODAC road win (dnronline.com) — Bridgewater College women's soccer fans can celebrate a dominant 12-0 ODAC road win over Hollins, powered by a hat trick from Brianna Curro and two goals from Laura Narby. The Eagles outshot Hollins 36-1, notched their third straight shutout, and moved to 7-1-1 on the season, keeping local supporters excited for the conference campaign.
