• SWCC awarded $1.8 million (wvva.com) — Southwest Virginia Community College in Cedar Bluff is receiving a $1.8 million Appalachian Regional Commission grant to expand its career and technical education programs. The funding will boost advanced manufacturing and skilled trades training, aiming to serve about 390 students and strengthen the local workforce that Cedar Bluff and surrounding Southwest Virginia industries rely on.
