• Renovations begin this fall at seven Fairfax County playgrounds (ffxnow.com) — Playground renovations at Cub Run Stream Valley Park in Centreville this fall will temporarily close the play area while crews add more accessible, modern equipment. Six other Fairfax County playgrounds are also being upgraded, funded largely by park bonds, and voters will weigh in on another $180 million park bond referendum this fall.
