Suspicious Graffiti Found Near Clifton Dead Body Site

Fairfax County police are asking the public for info on "RIP Sucker" graffiti found near death scene in Clifton.

CLIFTON, VA — Homicide detectives are asking for tips from the public to identify graffiti discovered near the place where a Chantilly man was found dead last month. The Fairfax County police on May 21 found the body of James McDonald, 26, in the woods near the 6100 block of Union Village Drive in Clifton, after detectives tracked down his cellphone.

The Police Department on Thursday released two photos of graffiti scrawled on a walking path. It includes the words "RIP Sucker Alone" and images of hearts and flowers.

McDonald was last seen by a family member on May 15 and was reported missing on May 19, the police said.

The police have termed the manner of McDonald's death to be "suspicious," and said he sustained trauma to the upper body. A state medical examiner conducted an autopsy on the body; detectives are waiting for the final results.
