Woman Found Murdered Saturday In Chantilly: Police

BREAKING: A woman was found murdered Saturday morning in Chantilly, and police believe the death may be related to a serious head-on-crash.

CHANTILLY, VA — A woman was found murdered Saturday morning in a home on Gayfeather Drive in what authorities suspect is a domestic incident, and it's likely related to a serious two-vehicle crash the same morning that left two people hospitalized with serious injuries, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Around 8:15 a.m., police went to the residence after a family member found the lifeless woman and called police. Just before that, police had responded to a head-on crash in the area of Gum Spring Road and Mayhew Lane "that appears related to the homicide," the said afterward. Both drivers were taken to the hospital, one with life-threatening injuries.

Police say the incident appears to be random and that there's no threat to the public. More information to come.
