Del Ray's Happy Tart Plans Second Location

The Happy Tart, a retail bakery in Del Ray, will soon be adding a second location, according to a post on its Facebook page and information posted on its company Web site.

The bakery creates gluten-free baked goods, ranging from cakes and cookies to cupcakes and pies.

The second location opening soon will be located in Falls Church, at 410 S. Maple Ave., in the Pearson Square development just down the street from Pizzeria Orso. The location is up and coming, with new retail, apartments and a Fresh Market going up across the street.

A reader asked the bakery on its Facebook page when the new location would open. The reply: Mid-summer.
