Handgun Stolen from Car on Quaker Lane: Police

A handgun was stolen Friday morning from a car parked at a home in the 1200 block of N. Quaker Lane in Alexandria, according to the Alexandria Police Department.

The information about the burglary was posted on Raids Online, the Web site the City uses to get information about crime out to the public. Information on the site is provided by the police department.

According to the report, the victim said that someone stole her handgun from her vehicle parked in the lot at her residence. Police were contacted at 4:02 a.m. Friday.

Although the report does not give an exact address, an icon on a map in the report shows the location as being on the campus of Episcopal High School. It’s uncertain from the crime report where the burglary took place-- on campus or at another location on N. Quaker Lane. Addresses in crime reports are sometimes intentionally vague to protect victims’ privacy.
