Piece Out's initial menu is largely focused on pizzas with an array of options like pastas, sandwiches, sides and desserts. Diners can choose from specialty pizzas like the pork ragu pizza, create a custom pie or purchase a slice.
The 2419 Mount Vernon Avenue location has seen a number of restaurants in recent years. Caboose Cafe, an Ethiopian restaurant from Rhoda Worku, became a Del Ray favorite from 2004 to 2017. Snackbar opened in its place in 2017 before closing in September 2018. The space was last occupied by Catch on the Ave, a seafood-focused restaurant that closed in late 2019 after nearly a year in operation.
