Richmond Greyhound Station Shooting: Virginia Trooper Seriously Wounded
A Virginia State Trooper has life-threatening injuries after being shot Thursday at a Greyhound bus station in Richmond, and the suspect is dead, police told reporters at a news conference.

Redskins Legend George Starke Arrested in D.C.
Former Washington Redskins offensive lineman George Starke, who helped the Redskins win Super Bowl XVII, has been arrested on assault charges, according to an Associated Press report.
Police say Starke, who is 67, argued with his wife at the W Hotel, according to the report. The two pushed and shoved each other, and then Starke allegedly struck the woman. »»»Read more.

- Fairfax County Police say a teen babysitter falsely reported that a 3-year-old child was abducted. During the preliminary investigation, officers quickly determined that the 18-year-old caller was supposed to be watching the boy and had “lost” him. Police say the teen panicked and made up the abduction story. Family members located the child safe and sound near their residence.
24-Hour Strike Begins at Reagan Airport
- The airport workers strike at Reagan National Airport is back on after it was cancelled last week due to the Brussels terrorist attacks. The nationwide strike calls for an increase in wages to a minimum of $15 an hour, plus sick leave and vacation.
- George Mason University Thursday announced pledges totaling $30 million to the George Mason University Foundation to support the School of Law. The gifts, combined, are the largest in university history, the school said in an announcement.
