Suspect Identified In Fatal Stabbing Of Alexandria Woman

Alexandria Police released the identify of the suspect that stabbed a woman to death in October.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Police have identified the suspect in the Oct. 18 stabbing of an Alexandria woman. Endalkachew Merid, 55, has been extradited and transported to Alexandria. He was charged with murder.

On Oct. 18, police were called to a West End residence in the residence in the 200 block of North Howard Street. They found June Seay, 55, of Alexandria stabbed to death. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The suspect was found with self-inflicted injuries and taken to the hospital in police custody. Police said the victim and Merid knew each other but did not clarify their relationship.
