• Residential developments, outdoor stage and fine increase on City Council's Sept. 19 docket (alxnow.com) — Alexandria City Council's Sept. 19 public hearing will tackle several issues affecting local residents, including a proposal to add outdoor entertainment at a Del Ray business. The 9:30 a.m. meeting at the Del Pepper Community Resource Center will also cover new construction in the Parker-Gray Historic District and higher fines for writing bad checks to the city.
