1. Man convicted of attempted rape after attack on Northern Virginia motel housekeeper (fox5dc.com) — A housekeeper at the Quality Inn Mount Vernon in Fairfax County escaped an attempted rape in 2025, and the attacker has now been convicted and faces up to 10 years in prison. Fairfax County prosecutors relied on surveillance video, witness identification, and an intercepted jailhouse letter where he discussed pressuring the victim not to testify. Sentencing is set for December 4.
   

2. Gana: Boletos para Disney On Ice en EagleBank Arena (audacy.com) — You can win four tickets to an upcoming Disney On Ice: Spotlight Magic show at EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, with winners chosen from on-air callers through Friday. The prize is worth about $120, but you'll need an email address, a smartphone, and a ticketing app account to actually use the mobile tickets if you're selected.
   

3. No. 3 Ohio State Falls to Washington 4-0 (ohiostatebuckeyes.com) — Ohio State men's soccer, ranked No. 3 nationally, will visit Fairfax this Friday to face George Mason after a 4–0 home loss to Washington. The Buckeyes played much of that match a man down and lost their starting goalkeeper to injury. Local fans can catch the George Mason game at 7 p.m., with streaming on ESPN+.
   

4. JUST IN: Man charged with bomb threat against Dulles-area mosque (ffxnow.com) — A Spotsylvania man has been charged with making an online bomb threat against the ADAMS Center mosque near the Loudoun–Fairfax line, with Loudoun deputies and Fairfax County police among the agencies involved. The mosque, which has a branch in Fairfax, remains a major regional religious hub, and court proceedings in the case will take place in Loudoun County.
