2 Grand Larceny Charges Filed In Theft Of Construction Equipment Worth $100K

City of Fairfax Police charged a Falls Church man in the March 21 theft of $100,000 worth of construction equipment from a city business.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Rui Coelho Domingues, 54, of Falls Church was arrested Thursday for the theft of more than $100,000 worth of construction equipment from a City of Fairfax business, according to a police release.

City police arrested Domingues after investigating a theft that occurred on March 21 at Dry Mill Materials, located at 3301 Old Picket Road. Through their investigation, police determined that someone removed the equipment after using a code to open a rear gate padlock.

Domingues was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with two counts of grand larceny and one count of unlawful entry. He was then released on an unsecured bond.
