2-Alarm Townhouse Fire In Fair Oaks Extinguished; No Injuries Reported

FAIR OAKS, VA — Fairfax County Fire & Rescue units extinguished a townhouse fire early Wednesday morning in the Fair Oaks area, according to a posts on the department's Twitter account.

Fire units responded at 6:37 a.m. for the report of a fire at a townhouse in the 12000 block of Dorforth Drive, according to the tweet.

Arriving units found a fire on the rear deck of the townhouse, extending to the roof and attic, according to the tweet. A second alarm was issued, which brought units from the Fairfax City Fire Department to assist.

The fire was reported out at 7:14 a.m. Crews began hitting hot spots and looking for extension of the fire.

No injuries were reported and all occupants of the townhouse had safely evacuated.
