Previous or Current Elected or Appointed Office

I have no prior elected or appointed office.

Why are you seeking elective office?

I believe in giving back and service to others. As a young father, I focused on family and volunteering my time to church, school, and youth sports. Now that my children have grown, I wanted to get more involved within the Fairfax City community and hopefully be an additional resource and voice for City residents.

The single most pressing issue facing Fairfax City is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

The redevelopment of Fairfax City along with a balance of fiscal responsibility is important to the future of our City. The growth of residential and business opportunities as well as infrastructure improvements should be a long term goals for Fairfax City with a focus to keep Fairfax City affordable for residents and attractive to businesses.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.

Homelessness is a growing concern for Fairfax City and it's bordering Counties. Fairfax City shares resources with Fairfax County and does a good job providing resources to the temporarily homeless community. However, the chronically homeless community needs to be approached differently and should be addressed with a compassionate solution to address mental health and substance abuse concerns.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

My experience in real estate, construction, and project management has provided me with opportunities to collaborate with individuals from diverse industries and backgrounds. These work experiences have resulted with my ability to listen to others, address concerns, negotiate, and successfully accomplish project goals.

The best advice ever shared with me was:

The quickest and best way to become successful is to help others be successful.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

Education, schools, and teachers have been a large influence in my family. Both of my parents were teachers. My wife was a teacher and is currently a principal. My father in-law is a professor, and my sister in-law is a teacher. It is important to me that Fairfax City schools have the resources they need and are safe, modern buildings where our children can learn and their teachers can work.
