Suspect In Blunt Force Trauma Death Of Fairfax City Man Faces 2nd Degree Murder Charge

Fairfax City Police arrested a 30-year-old man they say is responsible for the death of city resident Luis Barahona Reyes in June.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police arrested a suspect on Thursday in the June 10 homicide of 50-year-old city resident Luis Barahona Reyes.

Police were called to 9715 Fairfax Blvd. around 9:21 a.m., on June 10, for the report of a dead body, according to police. The body was taken to the Medical Examiner's Office and later identified as Reyes, who had sustained severe blunt trauma to his upper torso.

Through their investigation, city detectives identified 30-year-old Aaron James Anthony Robertson of no fixed address as a suspect in Reyes' death, according to police.

After obtaining an arrest warrant for second degree murder, city police took Robertson into custody with the assistance of Fairfax County Police officers. Robertson was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was held without bond.
