3 Cited For Assault In 3 Separate Incidents In Fairfax City: Police

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police arrested three suspects recently in three separate assaults that occurred in the city.

In the first case, officers responded around 5:59 p.m., on Oct. 18, for the report of an assault on a CUE bus. The person who requested police help said that a man approached them, cursed at them, and then spit in their face. The officers located the suspect nearby.

Police took 42-year-old Leslie Hines of Washington, D.C. to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged him with assault and disorderly conduct. Police also charged him with petit larceny in connection with an incident that had occurred earlier in the day. Hines was then held without bond.

In the second case, officers first responded around 6:54 p.m., on Friday to North Street after the report of a man pointing a knife at the victim as they were walking their dog.

Although the man ran off, police located the suspect a short time later at the Ace Hardware store located at 10310 Main St. The person who called police said that a man had gotten upset at store staff, threw a business phone at an employee, and then left.

Through their investigation, police identified the suspect as 44-year-old Joshua Jacobson of Gainesville, whom they said had been involved in an assault earlier in the day, according to police.

Jacobson was located, arrested, and taken to the ADC, where he was charged with two counts of assault and one count of destruction of property. He was held without bond, according to police.

In the third incident, police were summoned around 4:39 a.m., on Sunday, to the 9500 block of Fairfax Boulevard, for the report of an assault. The victim, who told police that an acquaintance had stabbed them three times in the hand, was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Officers located 29-year-old Ashley Davis of 9500 Fairfax Blvd. and took her into custody. After being taken to the ADC, police charged her with malicious wounding and she was released on an unsecured bond.
