$30K In Grant Funding Available For Non-Profits Promoting Literacy
Friends of the Reston Regional Library encourages local non-profits promoting literacy to apply for grant funding of up to $30,000.
RESTON, VA — The Friends of the Reston Regional Library is encouraging local non-profit organizations that support and promote literacy in the area to apply for a block of grants ranging from $5,000 to $30,000.
Timed to coincide with the Fairfax County Public Library's "Year of Literacy," the grants will be awarded to organizations that provide hands-on programing to promote literacy in Reston, Herndon and across Fairfax County.
“The Friends of the Reston Regional Library was founded with the intent of supporting our local library branch, our library system, and our community," said the committee charged with creating the funding opportunity. "In light of the recent increase in challenges faced by many populations, including the difficulty in accessing information and educational resources, we seek to strengthen and improve our involvement in the community at large.
