Join the Fairfax County Police Department’s Victim Services Section for the Annual 5K Walk and Candlelight Vigil on Sunday, April 19. Held during National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, the annual walk is held to engage communities and empower victims.
For over 25 years, the Victim Services Section (VSS) has provided comprehensive services to victims of crime in Fairfax County, Fairfax City and the towns of Herndon and Vienna, as well as assisting victims referred through the Virginia State Police. The VSS provides support and assistance to those who are emotionally, financially and physically affected by crime.

Join us at 4:30 p.m. on April 19 at Fairfax Corner, 4100 Monument Drive, for a resource fair and a live performance by the E&Me Jazz R&B band, with information and representatives from a variety of community groups. Fairfax Corner is just south of Fair Oaks Mall and Interstate 66, between Monument Drive and Random Hills Road.
The 5K Walk will be held from 6-7 p.m. and a candlelight vigil and victim tribute will be take place immediately after the walk.
Speakers will include Dr. Will Marling, executive director of the National Organization for Victim Assistance; Ray Morrogh, Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney; Stacey Kincaid, sheriff of Fairfax County; and Tenickia Polk, founder of Domestic Violence.TV.

Join us and bring a friend. Walkers, crime victims, survivors, family members, concerned citizens and all others are welcome. Please help us recognize victims of violence, crimes and those who contribute their lives towards helping them cope, recover and heal.
