Animal Hospital Fleeced By Bad Check In Fairfax

A woman is being held without bond after writing a worthless check for services she received at Jermantown Animal Hospital in Fairfax.

FAIRFAX, VA — A woman is being held without bond after writing a worthless check for services she received at Jermantown Animal Hospital, 4035 Jermantown Road, according to Fairfax Police. Alba Del Perez-Grande, 36, of the 7400 block of Long Pine Drive in Springfield, was charged with issuing a bad check.

On Aug. 31, a manager reported that on Aug. 3, the woman paid her bill with a check that later was returned for having been written on a closed account. The woman subsequently failed to make any payments, police were notified and a warrant was issued for her arrest. She was served with the warrant Friday and taken to jail. 11204 James Swart Circle / Parking Lot – On September 8 at 9:41 PM officers responding to a report of an intoxicated male subject located the individual and took him into custody. After being placed in a cruiser the subject damaged the door by kicking it. David J. Matuszewski, 36, of 106 Walton Way, Milford, Pennsylvania, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with destruction of property and drunk in public. His bond was set at $2000.
