Man Accused of Assault & Battery, Drunkenness In Fairfax
City of Fairfax Police arrested a 34-year-old man on Sunday morning, charging him with assault and battery and public drunkenness.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police cited an intoxicated man for assault and battery in connection with an incident that occurred Sunday morning on Main Street, according to the daily crime report.
Police responded around 11:50 a.m. for the report of an assault in the 10500 block of Main Street. The person who called in the report told officers that a man came up behind them and grabbed their hand. The victim received minor injuries, according to police.
The officers located 34-year-old Angel Herrera of no fixed address nearby. They determined he was drunk and took him into custody.

Police charged Herrera with assault and battery and being drunk in public. He is being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
