FAIRFAX CITY, VA — A Manassas man is facing multiple charges, including assault and battery, in connection with an incident that occurred early Sunday morning in front of Fairfax City Police headquarters, according to the weekly crime report.

Officers were responded around 12:26 a.m, to an injured man in front of police headquarters at 3630 Old Lee Highway. The man had minor injuries and he told police that he was assaulted twice by another man, according to the report.

Police located 33-year-old Morgan Alvarado Lopez intoxicated nearby, took him into custody, and then transported him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, according to the report. Once there, police charged Alvarado Lopez with two counts of assault and batter and one charge of being drunk in public.

Alvarado Lopez was held at the adult dentetion center on a $2,000 unsecured bond and until sober.
