Bank Employee Used Customer's Credit Card Information: Fairfax Police

Capital One employee charged with embezzlement, making false statements to obtain credit and credit card fraud.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — What's in your wallet? In this case, maybe not as much as you think.

A Capital One bank employee was arrested Sunday for allegedly using a customer's credit account for unauthorized purchases, according to Fairfax City Police.

Edgar Reyes, 29, of 2341 Freetown Court in Reston, was charged with embezzlement, making false statements to obtain credit and credit card fraud.

A fraud investigator for the bank, at 10670 Fairfax Boulevard, reported June 27 that an employee was suspected of using a customer's credit card account to purchase items for himself between March 19 and May 11.

Following an investigation, Reyes was arrested.

His bond was set at $3,000.
