Beltway Medical Group Opens Health, Wellness Clinic In Fair Oaks

FAIRFAX, VA — Beltway Medical Group celebrated the grand opening Wednesday of its new outpatient, orthopedic, physical therapy and yoga sound therapy center in Fair Oaks with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

"We are a startup and a brand new physical therapy clinic ready to serve Northern Virginia community, said Dr. Folasade Bangali, the clinic's executive director. "This is not your typical physical therapy clinic, because we really do a holistic approach by having a holistic guru on staff as well."

The clinic specializes in offering LSVT Big, which is designed to treat patients with Parkinson's disease.

"It is a 'think big' program," Bangali said. "So, instead of having a patient just go from sit to stand, they use big movements to go from sit to stand, so that in their day-to-day lives, they have bigger movements."

The Fair Oaks facility, which is located at 12011 Lee Jackson Memorial Highway, Suite 103, is the first of 10 clinics the veteran-owned startup plans to open across the Washington, D.C. region.

In addition to Bangali, who is a doctor of physical therapy, the clinic employees seven staff members, including a physical therapist, physical therapy assistant, billing coordinator, and administrative assistant.

The center even has its own holistic guru. Sujendra Karki provides guided meditation, alignment, stress management, sound healing and power fitness yoga. He also leads Hatha and Vinyasa Flow Yoga, which includes breath work and chakra alignment

"It's always exciting opening a new business in Fairfax," said Jennifer Rose, the executive director of the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce. "We're here to celebrate the opening of Beltway Medical Group. They've got so many wonderful services that they're going to provide to the community. We're just happy to be a part of the celebration."

Beltway Medical Group takes all commercial health insurance companies, as well as Medicare B, Medicaid and self-pay.

The clinic, which is located at Located at 12011 Lee Jackson Memorial Highway, Suite 103 in Fair Oaks, is open from 6 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. The clinic is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
