Bring on the Green and Gold: George Mason Alumni Weekend
George Mason University alumni and friends will gather for a weekend celebration September 19-21

FAIRFAX – At George Mason University’s Alumni Weekend, Sept. 19-21, alumni can “Lunch and Learn,” enjoy Virginia spirits and the Green Machine at the Green and Gold Bash, and take part in events in Fairfax, Arlington, Loudoun County and the District.
· A wide range of events take place on Friday night and Saturday, sponsored by Mason’s colleges and alumni chapters in Fairfax, Arlington, and the District.
· On Saturday, September 20, from noon to 2 p.m., on the Fairfax campus, all alumni are invited to “Lunch and Learn” with faculty and alumni experts. Topics include “How to Get a Job in Today’s Market,” “From Mason Alumnus to Prospective Parent,” and “How to Defy Your Age and Maximize Your Health.” At 2 p.m. Saturday, University President Ángel Cabrera will join alumni for coffee, dessert, and a conversation about the future of the university. Cabrera will be joined by new athletic director Brad Edwards and new provost David Wu.

· On Saturday evening, the all-alumni Green and Gold Bash will feature music by the Green Machine and DJ Chris Styles, food by the Grafton Street Restaurant and Irish Pub, and a spirits tasting by the A. Smith Bowman distillery. The event will be held on North Plaza on Mason’s Fairfax campus.
· The weekend wraps up on Sunday, Sept. 21 with all-alumni brunches in Loudoun (Lansdowne Resort) and the District (Toro Toro).
