Child Pornography Charges Filed Against Fairfax City Man In Custody

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — A Fairfax City man who has been held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail since last year was cited on child pornography charges on Friday, according to a City of Fairfax Police release.

Acting on a cyber-tip from the Northern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, city police executed a search warrant on Dec. 6, 2021, at the residence of 28-year-old Brandon Gonzalez. Officers searched his apartment at 10026 Mosby Woods Drive.

Later that day, Gonzalez was taken into custody on an active probation violations for earlier charges related to his status as a registered sex offender, according to the release.

On Friday, city police, with the help of the Rappahannock Regional Jail, served Gonzalez with warrants for one count of the possession of child pornography and 10 counts of the possession of child pornography.

Gonzalez has been held in the Rappahannock Regional Jail since last year on similar charges that had taken place in a separate jurisdiction.
