Fairfax City is a $48 million marketplace, and the Finance Department’s e-procurement program makes it easier for vendors — particularly local vendors — to compete for city bids and proposals.

In addition to posting solicitations on the city website (fairfaxva.gov/bid), Fairfax City advertises all competitive solicitation notices of the Commonwealth of Virginia e-procurement portal eVA e-Procurement, and receives all bids and proposals on the commonwealth's Virginia Business Opportunities website

By partnering with the state, Fairfax City shares the network and offers a standard bidding process. This common procurement platform improves the ability of Fairfax City businesses, especially small businesses, to compete for our business — and keep local dollars in our local economy.
