Construction Begins on New Townhomes in Heart of Fairfax City
Construction begins for The Mayfair, a group of 25 luxury townhomes on Main Street, where Shell service station was formerly located.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA -- Anyone driving down Main Street these days can see that fencing has gone up and groundbreaking has begun on a development smack dab in the middle of Fairfax City.

Construction has started on The Mayfair, a group of 25 luxury townhomes, at 10341 Main St. (see map below). The high-visibility location is just blocks from the county courthouse and is within walking distance of shopping and dining in the heart of historic Fairfax City.
The new townhouse community will feature underground parking, a landscaped plaza and courtyards. No word yet on the sale price

Fairfax City's Pillars Development Group is overseeing building of The Mayfair townhome community.
The location was formerly the site of a Shell service station, built before 1965 that was closed in 2007. The underground pumps and storage were removed.
