  • people age 65+
  • people age 16-64 with a high-risk medical condition or disability that increases their risk of severe illness from COVID-19

The Fairfax County Health Department will begin registering individuals in these new groups on January 18.

At this time, the Fairfax County Health Department is unable to schedule appointments for these new groups before January 18 while they continue to work through the large number of individuals in Phase 1b who have registered earlier this week and are still awaiting appointment dates.

These new groups, in addition to the age 75+ population, account for about 40 percent of all of our residents over the age of 16. Due to limited supplies of vaccine, it may take months to get through Phase 1b. Click here to find out more about each phase of vaccination.

The ability to schedule appointments will depend on the supply of vaccine available. The vaccine supply in the U.S. is still very limited and is expected to increase gradually over the next months.

COVID-19 Vaccine Registration Options:

  • Online Registration Form

  • Vaccine Registration Hotline: 703-324-7404 (9 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays). The hotline is experiencing a high call volume, and it may take some time to get through.

Please be patient during this time, as the health department works diligently to schedule appointments and assist you in this matter.
