PHOTOS: Daniels Run Celebrates Cultures
Friday was International Night at Daniels Run, drawing about 500 people.
students hosted its annual celebration of cultures Friday night with song, dance and food.
PTA parent Peg Weis organized International Night with help from Lucinda Sexton, the school's music and chorus teacher. An estimated 500 parents, friends and community members marked the occasion.
"They did such a great job," said principal Kathy Mullinex. "We are amazed at how many people showed up!"

The celebration began earlier in the day while school was still in session. The students participated in a talent show that featured music and dance performances from countries of their culture.
In the evening, parents joined their children and set up booths that showcased food and culture from their home countries.
