Dead Hiker in Vermont Identified as Fairfax Woman: Police

MIDDLEBURY, VT — A hiker found dead last week on a Vermont trail has been identified as Sun Mi Shinn, a 28-year-old Korean national from Fairfax, according to Middlebury Police.

Police say her remains were examined by the chief medical examiner, and the cause, manner and date of death remain under investigation.

There's no indication she was subjected to or involved in any unlawful actions, police say.

Police say there are trying to reconstruct her travels from Virginia to Vermont.
