FAIRFAX CITY, VA — How do you keep your pets cool during the latest heat wave? The Fairfax City is offering its tips, including this treat for your dog:

"You can even make peanut butter popsicles for them to cool them off."

Turns out there's all but a cottage industry for the things, particularly when it comes to dogs.

Even the Humane Society of the United States is in on the action, with a recipe for the apparent canine treat.

Their ingredients: 1 cup peanut butter, preferably unsalted and unsweetened (no xylitol) and half a ripe banana. See the instructions and more treat tips from the HSUS.
