Embezzlement Charge Filed In Theft Of $1,200 Items From Home Depot

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police arrested a 18-year-old Fairfax man in connection with a conspiracy to take $1,200 worth of merchandise from the Home Depot located at 3201 Old Lee Highway.

City police began their investigation when they were called to the store around 2:21 p.m., on Sept. 27, for the report of a larceny. The reporting party told officers that on three occasions a store employee and an unknown male used deception and conspired to steal $1,200 worth of merchandise without paying.

Officers Luke Angelides and transported him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention. He was charged with grand larceny and given a $2,000 unsecured bond, according to police. He was released on his own recognizance.
