FAIR LAKES, VA — Fairfax County Police identified the two women and one man whose bodies were discovered Tuesday morning by police inside a locked bedroom of a Fair Lakes apartment, according to a police release. The incident is being investigated as a double homicide and suicide.

Homicide detectives believe that the man shot and killed Angelica McIntosh, 26, and Anne Lollar, 31. Police are waiting on confirmation of the man's identity, but they believe him to be 26-year-old Jose Gale Aliaga, according to the release. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy to confirm the man's identity.

Police found evidence suggesting that the three had made a suicide pact and that the man shot himself after he had shot the two women. All three were residents of the apartment in the 4200 block of Mazarin Place in Fairfax.

"When we arrived on the scene and knocked on the door, a roommate came out and let us into the apartment," FCPD Executive Deputy Chief Brian Riley told reporters Tuesday afternoon. "They said to us that the person we're looking for should be in the back bedroom."

The officers tried to enter the bedroom, but the door was locked and barricaded, Riley said. Police asked for help from Fairfax County Fire and Rescue. Using a ladder, an officer peered into the bedroom and saw what appeared to be three deceased people.

"We made entry forcibly into that back bedroom, at which time we found an adult male and two adult females suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds," Riley said.

The roommate, who is not considered a person of interest in this case, is cooperating with police. McIntosh and Anne Lollar are Fairfax County's ninth and 10th homicide victims of 2022.
