Fairfax Chain Bridge Road Water Main Replacement Project Begins April 20

The Fairfax Water Chain Bridge Road Water Main Replacement Project will begin on Monday, April 20, 2020 .

Construction of the water main replacement is scheduled to occur during the ongoing construction of the City's Chain Bridge Road at Rust Curve sidewalk improvements and will be completed by the same contractor, Sagres Construction Corporation. This project will take approximately two months to complete.

Performing this work at the same time as the sidewalk improvements is anticipated to minimize traffic disruptions by taking advantage of the existing Chain Bridge Road detour. Fairfax Water and City Staff have worked closely to coordinate both efforts.
