FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Fairfax's two farmers markets — one on Saturday and the other on Sunday — are set to return to the city in May.

The Saturday farmers market will operate from May 8 through Oct. 30, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the Sunday farmers market will operate from May 9 through Oct. 24, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Both markets will be located at 10500 Page Ave. in Fairfax.

Shoppers will find fresh produce, baked goods, meats and more at the farmers market. It is open to only vendors that grow or produce from everything from scratch to sell at the market.

COVID-19 health requirements will continue to protect customers, market staff and volunteers. Groups of shoppers will be limited to four people, and face masks are required for everyone over age 2. People should maintain six feet of distancing from other customers, vendors and market managers. Customers may not touch items, as vendors will bag all purchases. Anyone with symptoms of illness is asked to stay home. Online sales and contactless payments with credit or debit cards are encouraged.
