Gold Plus is the highest level of recognition for this award.

This award recognizes pre-hospital agencies that achieve, or exceed, industry “best practices” for cardiac care during a two-year period. This collective, cooperative effort with regional cardiac centers ensures residents receive the best care to improve the likelihood of a positive patient outcome.
Pre-hospital personnel are the first providers of care to patients suffering from cardiac emergencies. EMS care is crucial and often sets the course for the patient's outcome.
