Fairfax City Man Charged With Attempted Robbery From 7-Eleven: Police
Police arrested a Fairfax City man for attempting to take merchandise from the 7-Eleven store on Jermantown Road.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — A 30-year-old Fairfax man was arrested for attempting to rob the 7-Eleven store located at 3965 Jermantown Road in Fairfax City, according to the weekly crime report.
Around 3:52 a.m., on Aug. 23, city police responded to the 7-Eleven store for the report of a robbery. The person who contacted police said that a man grabbed a bottle of soda and then took a pack of cigarettes from behind the counter. While this was going on, a loud argument took place that frightened the store clerk, according to the report.
When an employee confronted the man at the front door, they were able to recover the items and the man left the scene, according to police. The person who contacted police said that they were also afraid of the man due to an earlier incident in which he threatened them.

Through their investigation, officers identified Anania Keene of Fairfax as the suspect and obtained an attempted robbery warrant from the Magistrate's Office, according to the report.
With the help of Fairfax County Police, city police officers arrested Keene and took him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was served with the warrant, according to the report. Keene was held without bond.
