Fairfax City May Have To Replace Voting Machines: Media Report
The Virginia Board of Elections is scheduled to decide next week.

Complaints from voters in last November’s election have prompted state officials to consider scrapping touch-screen voting machines used in 30 cities and counties across Virginia, including Fairfax City.
The state Board of Elections will decide on the matter at a public hearing next week, according to the Washington Post. A state report released last week has called into question the accuracy and security of one-fifth of Virginia’s machines.

Gov. Terry McAuliffe hopes to settle the issue before the November election, when all General Assembly seats will be on the ballot, the Post reported. The state report found the machines are prone to crashing and may be vulnerable to cyberattack.
